The County’s new 50,000-square-foot, Clinch Memorial Hospital, opened in April of 2007 and provides life giving care to the residents of Homerville and its surrounding counties. When you need health care, traveling away from family and friends should be the last thing on your mind. Now, quality medical services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Clinch Memorial is equipped with an Acute Inpatient Unit, Long Term Care Unit, and Community Care Clinic. Extensive diagnostic services including Diagnostic Imaging, CT Scanning, Echocardiography, Mammography, MRI, Ultrasound, and Sleep Studies, as well as a state of the art diagnostic laboratory are also available. The facility also houses a fully functional pharmacy and an Occupational and Physical Therapy center.
Clinch Memorial Hospital was originally opened in 1957 as a 40 bed, rural community hospital. In 1997, South Georgia Medical Center entered into a management agreement to provide an administrator and clinical and management consult services at Clinch. Today, the hospital maintains a loyal following of community supporters who are excited to have this new facility in their community. Clinch Memorial Hospital is the 4th largest employer in Homerville.

Clinch County Behavioral and Developmental Service Center’s purpose is to meet the sociological and psychological needs of children, adolescents, and adults who have emotional, behavioral, or social problems. The center provides individual and group counseling, family and activity therapy, community and school consultations, and evaluation services.

The Health Department provides many services which include immunizations, comprehensive health exams for children and teenagers; hearing, vision, and scoliosis screening for children; WIC food supplements and nutritional information to low income pregnant women and new mothers; pregnancy planning, prevention and pre-natal care services; medical care and surgery to income eligible children with special health problems through referral to Children's Medical Services; breast and cervical cancer screening and follow up; hypertension monitoring; medications and nutritional services; diabetes management; HIV / AIDS testing, counseling, and education; screening and treatment for sexually transmitted disease; tuberculosis testing and screening; sickle cell screening; septic tank, well permitting, and water supply sampling; premarital blood testing; and rubella counseling.
